Colorful Happy Birthday Coloring Page

Did you know? The phrase Happy Birthday was first written by American poet and author Charles Mackay. He used the expression in his book called Songs of Many Lands, published in 1859, describing a birthday celebration with this line: May your heart be light / On your next birthday. Its worth noting that Happy Birthday to You as we know it today was written by two American sisters, Patty Hill and Mildred J. Hill, in 1893. They created the song for their students at their Louisville kindergarten, using the melody from a popular childrens song of the time.
