Classic Mickey Mouse Colorful Fun

Did you know? Mickey Mouse was originally named Mortimer Mouse when he was first created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks in 1928, but the name was later changed to Mickey Mouse after his wife, Lillian Disney, convinced her husband that the name was too mean-sounding.

Creative Coloring Ideas:
• Here are five coloring ideas you could use when working with the black and white Mickey Mouse image:
• 1. Color by the number: Using a colored pencil, color all of the areas that have been outlined in black. This will create a two-tone effect that emphasizes Mickeys features.
• 2. Pastel rainbow: Use pastel crayons to add an extra layer of depth to Mickeys character. You can use various shades of pink, blue, green and purple for this project.
• 3. Aqua Splash: Color the entire image with light blue or aqua markers to create a water-themed effect. The solid color will help the black outlines stand out even more.
• 4. Coloring Book Scene: Create your own coloring book scene by drawing a background behind Mickey. You can use crayons, colored pencils or markers for this project.
