Did you know? Dinosaurs on Christmas Contrary to popular belief, dinosaurs did not go extinct at the end of the Cretaceous period and are still alive today, albeit in a different form – as birds. This is because some dinosaur species evolved feathers and other bird-like characteristics over time. In addition, many people mistakenly believe that dinosaurs were only found on land. However, fossil evidence suggests that some dinosaurs also lived in aquatic environments.
Creative Coloring Ideas:
• Using a red crayon, color the bubbles coming out of Santas mouth and the dots around him.
• Color Santas beard using a combination of brown and gray crayons. For example, start with light brown and then layer darker shades of brown on top for depth.
• Use a blue crayon to draw snowflakes in the background.
• The reindeer should be colored using two different shades of green: one slightly lighter than the other. Start by coloring the entire deer with the lighter shade first, followed by adding the darker shade over parts of it for contrast and dimension.
• To add some festive flair, use a yellow crayon to draw candy canes in the background.
